Snake Oil Cocktail Co.’s own Michael Esposito shared a preview of the new list of libations his company has developed for Bar West; the drinks drop tonight in Pacific Beach.

Esposito, the sole remaining member of the original Snake Oil Cocktail Co. crew, has enlisted new cocktail collaborators Frankie Thaheld, the drink wiz at George’s At The Cove and Brandt Stenberg, who tends at Side Bar.

Bar West scored a residence from the neighborhood Oscar’s Mexican Seafood, who serves custom menu in the bar on Taco Tuesdays and Wednesday through Sunday, and Snake Oil’s cocktails are meant to be a happy match with the food The Nopales Margarita’s sweetened with agave and garnished with a raw cactus paddle for crunching; the El Burro blends tequila with ginger beer and mole bitters.

The cocktail consultants have been busy; they recently launched a relationship with Del Mar’s Cinépolis, to develop themed cocktails to pair with the theater’s programming. The first drinks debut tonight; sip a Wonderful Wonderstone (vodka, watermelon, lavender, lime and salt) or a Marvelous Marvelton (gin, kiwi, vanilla and sparkling wine) while you watch the new “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” with Steve Carrell and stay tuned for what drink goes with “Iron Man 3”.
