Lindsey began her career in event planning at the young age of six, surprising her older brother with a pool party for his 8th birthday. A few years later, she hosted her first Halloween party in her parents garage for her fourth grade class, complete with creepy games, a neighborhood scavenger hunt and dry ice (of course). These days, she still has the excitement of a kid, but has elevated her events through strategic partnerships, years of experience, influential marketing and an eye for design.
After graduating college with a kinesiology degree, she quickly taught herself how to build websites and use graphic design platforms to create visually stunning and effective marketing materials. She began working at the polo fields in San Diego, completely redesigning their marketing materials to drive event attendance and interest in the ancient sport. In the last seven years, Lindsey has successfully grown their business, events, and membership up to 200% consecutively, year after year. She was recently recognized by the United States Polo Association as one of the top six managers in the country for developing an events program that is one of the best in the country (out of 280+ polo clubs), a very high achievement. She was asked to speak and sit on the panel at the 2016 USPA Instructors & Managers Forum. She has also been an event and marketing consultant for multiple polo clubs on the west coast.
In addition to polo events, Lindsey sits on the Board of Directors for the EMW Lacrosse Foundation, a non-profit that hosts lacrosse tournaments in beautiful locations such as San Diego, Palm Desert, Jamaica and Hawaii. She has been a key player in developing their marketing materials, organizing their events, and developing interest in their tournaments. Lindsey has also worked with the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association for the last three years as a design consultant, and currently volunteers for the Uganda Lacrosse Foundation.
Lindsey wears many hats including marketing professional, designer, event planner, advertising specialist, sales person, social media strategist, public relations manager, and community representative. This allows her to successfully manage multiple projects while consistently developing an organic business foundation that results in a positive outcome. She is a natural strategist, which allows her to build meaningful relationships and experiences with the industry’s top leaders, businesses, charities, vendors and media sources. Lindsey has executed large scale events for many internationally recognized brands such as Land Rover, BMW, Porsche, Woodford Reserve, Herradura Tequila, Ketel One, Prince Harry’s Sentabale, Disney and National Geographic.
Throughout her years, Lindsey‘s natural ability to manage people and organize successful events has led her to volunteer at many non-profits over the years, including Susan G. Komen, American Lung Association, Women’s Resource Center, Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation, Boys & Girls Club. She was also involved with the National Charity League for four years and loves playing team sports. Lindsey finds pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.
It doesn’t matter if the event is in her personal or professional life, Lindsey gives enthusiasm, strategic design and attention to any project she’s working on. And Halloween is still her favorite holiday.
Fun Fact: Lindsey’s favorite drink after a long day of hiking or adventuring outdoors is a vegan White Russian.
