Snake Oil was founded with a commitment to cocktails, celebrating local produce and showcasing innovation in the kitchen. In July of 2010, Snake Oil Cocktail Company collaborated with Top Chef’s Brian Malarkey and the Enlightened Hospitality Group to open Searsucker Restaurant, which was named Top 10 Restaurant Nationwide 2010, by TIME Magazine. The Snake Oil Cocktail Team built and developed the beverage program, including the cocktail menu, staffing, and execution, resulting in a highly profitable operation that quickly set the bar on fresh cocktails.
Over the past handful of years, Snake Oil Cocktail Co. was able to expand nationwide, producing unique beverage experiences, including The TED Conference, Opening Day at Yankee Stadium, event collaborations with the Padres and Chargers, Sundance Film Festival and high-end activations with Aston Martin and Rolls Royce at the Pebble Beach Concours D’elegance.
Over the past few years, we have expanded our event and consulting capabilities, participating in hundreds of events a year, from weddings to galas and large scale public events. Our portfolio of clients has grown tremendously and we work regularly with brands such as National Geographic, Porsche, Fox, and Warner Bros. Our homebase is in San Diego, but our team travels often to execute programs across the country. In addition to events, Snake Oil has taken on new and exciting bar program consulting projects; elevating the craft of cocktails for beverage establishments in Southern and Central California, New York, Tijuana, Valle Guadalupe, Baja California Sur, Boca Raton and Bogotá, Colombia. To date, we have launched over 30 successful beverage programs in five years and we have created beverage recipes and cocktail designs for dozens of product and brands.
Beyond great tasting cocktails and decades of combined event experience, we have a passion for our community and take pride in the valuable relationships we’ve built over the years. Snake Oil Cocktail Company is prominently featured on the preferred vendor list at over 30 San Diego wedding and event venues and we currently manage the food and beverage programs at the San Diego Symphony and Lyceum Theatre. While we’re not at events, you can usually find us entertaining friends for dinner or grabbing a drink at a local neighborhood hotspot.
The magic is in the bottle. It’s an ode to the days of the traveling medicine shows, when Snake Oil salesman would ply their trade from a wagon stage and boast of the mysterious powers of their bottles of snake oil elixirs.
All of our cocktails are made with the freshest ingredients, often hand pressed or juiced just prior to our events. We promote our mixes as a healthy tonic to vitalize and nourish while consuming alcohol.

While our vision is to someday open a tasting room or venue, we pride ourselves on our community relationships at partners. We are the preferred vendor at over 150 venues in San Diego and currently manage the F&B at the San Diego Symphony and Lyceum Theater.
