Local Cocktail Consultants Leading Concessions at La Jolla Event Venue
Snake Oil Cocktail Company will run food and beverages at The Conrad
Local hospitality consultants Snake Oil Cocktail Company have scored the coveted role of managing all food and beverage at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, downtown La Jolla’s new 49,000-square-foot, 82 million event facility that will be home to the La Jolla Music Society (LJMS) and its programming which ranges from orchestras and chamber music to jazz and cabaret performers.
Opening this April with a concert by GRAMMY® Award winner Seal, the venue spans the 513-seat Baker-Baum Concert Hall, the 2,000-square-foot JAI, a contemporary performance space, and a 4,000-square-foot outdoor area comprised of the Wu Tsai QRT.yrd and the Belanich Terrace. All the spaces will also be available for rent, and able to host everything from weddings to private events. Snake Oil will oversee all concessions, ranging from craft cocktails, beer, wine to snacks and cheese and charcuterie plates. Look for the cocktail pros to also offer frozen cocktails and introduce a feature called Cocktail Graffiti, a trendy trick that prints photos and custom designs onto drinks.
Calling them a key partner, The Conrad’s director of theater operations Travis Wininger shared, “The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center is proud to be partnering with Snake Oil Cocktail Company. Their products are first class and their experience working in other performances spaces will ensure smooth operations as we open this amazing new venue.”
