Spring 2015 Intern
Snake Oil Cocktail Company highly values the opportunity for up-and-coming college students to gain experience and learn first hand about business. Whether they are interested in sales, marketing, or design we take a select few interns every season to join our team while gaining college credit. We are pleased to introduce you to our Spring 2015 Intern Team.
My name is Oscar and I am a 4th year at UC San Diego studying Communication and Theatre. I am originally from a small town in central California but I’ve always had big dreams so now I reside and study in San Diego. After graduation I hope to use the skills I have been acquiring at UCSD and Snake Oil to someday rock the entertainment industry by being an event coordinator for television networks. If I had it my way however, I would be the star of a reality T.V. show because people need to see my wild life. My hobbies include traveling, playing music, participating in sports, watching Netflix, beer, and of course eating. I’m passionate about helping my community and I hope to change the world someday. Until then, you can find me on the beach working on my tan.
My name is Evelyn and I am a third year Political Science major with Business Minor at the University of California, San Diego. I am originally from the mountains of Colorado but I traded those in for the beautiful beaches of California. Snake Oil has given me the amazing opportunity to pursue my interest in marketing and I love coming to work everyday to learn and contribute to the awesome team here. I look forward to taking the skills I gain from Snake Oil and applying them to my future career pursuits. When I am not at Snake Oil, class, or my other 2 jobs I fill my time with outdoor activities (I love to hike!), baking, traveling, or exploring some of the awesome things to do here in San Diego. I also am a HUGE country music fanatic and you can typically find me at a concert or line dancing the night away at one of San Diego’s country bars.
My name is Ian and I am a born Canadian but a very proud American. I am currently studying Public Policy at UCSD and hope to become a mayor someday. On the side, I love to sail, read, run marathons, reflect on life with music, watch movies and work on little projects now and then. Most importantly, I love food and I’m convinced that I have a large appetite for anything edible. Now, why Snake Oil? Fake Answer: It’s just an excuse for me to get into the drinking business without feeling guilty at the time. I’m 21 now. (Real Answer) Jokes aside, I believe that Snake Oil, in many ways, lays out a blank and critical platform for me to be creative and appreciative about the food and drink culture. If anything else, Snake Oil’s passion for ideas and quality is what drives me to think critically the aspects that constitute a healthy and thriving business. The Snake Oil Cocktail Company encompasses all these traits. Enjoy life and drink well! As the saying goes, ‘what cures you ails you’!
