We joined Hendrick’s Gin for Modernism Week’s After Dark Party in Palm Springs at the most swanky, red carpet, retro-affair to kick off the Opening Night of Modernism Week 2018, presented by Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery. Vintage style and authentic swagger enlivened the party as guests channeled their inner Marilyn, Sammy or Hefner. The night featured entertainment, high style and glamour, and, of course, Snake Oil Cocktails featuring Hendrick’s Gin and Reyka Vodka.

The event was hosted at Modernism Week’s own Private Club for the night, Indian Canyons Golf Resort, a legend in its own right designed in 1962 by famed Palm Springs Modernist architects, Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison. The original Canyon Country Club as it was known has a legendary history as a favorite spot of Hollywood icons including Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Johnny Carson, Walt Disney and Dean Martin. You never know who you might run into at the Club!

The spectacular evening was over the top with expansive indoor and outdoor lounges, abundant and decadent hors d’oeuvres and specialty Rat Pack-era cocktails with Hendrick’s Gin. Guests enjoyed dancing the night away to the tunes of DJ Baz and a swinging show by retro-rockers, The Dreamboats.

The welcome cocktail was the “Hendrick’s Special” featuring Hendrick’s Gin, coconut milk, pressed lemon, fresh ginger, applewood infusion, pasteurized egg white and an edible custom design.

Our Craft Cocktail Bar featured the Out of the Blue cocktail with Hendrick’s Gin, smashed blueberries, pressed lemon, and lavender infusion. The Mondrian cocktail with Reyka Vodka, smashed apple, pressed lime, fresh ginger, honey, and hazelnut.
