Art Is For Everybody… and Everything, Including Cocktails!
Keith Haring x Alice + Olivia Launch Party with Cocktail Graffiti
In November, we traveled out to New York to activate our Insta-worthy creative craft cocktail concept Cocktail Graffiti at the Keith Haring x alice + olivia Launch Party at Highline Stages in NYC.
In remembrance of Keith’s passion for street art, graffiti and pop-art, the space hung with Haring’s signature dancing figures in vibrant colors. The event featured arcade games, huge art installations, interactive art stations where guests could paint or draw on the walls, 80’s themed decor, an indoor skatepark, and music. The event itself highlighted the street style of both alice + olivia and the late artist.
Also on display were pieces from the new Alice + Olivia capsule collection by Stacey Bendet, who reinterpreted signature Haring prints in the form of patchwork leather jackets, stylish silk bombers, and a particularly bold floor-length dress.
Keith Haring was a pop artist with colorful, graffiti-like artwork that became popular in the 80’s. Stacy Bendet, CEO of Alice + Olivia has always supported artist collaborations with fashion and street style.
‘As a designer, I am constantly inspired by art, and I have always loved Keith Haring’s graphic, bold aesthetic. Keith was really one of the first artists to advance social causes, and I think at this time in our world it’s especially important to support artists who have made a difference. He democratised art with his mantra that “Art is for Everybody” and this is something that we champion at alice + olivia.’
‘Eighties style is having such a major resurgence in terms of both art and fashion, so I felt that this was the ideal time to launch the collection,’ she finished.
We were shaking up farm fresh cocktails with custom Keith Haring designs and served New York’s socialites, including guest host, Paris Jackson. The cocktail we served up was made with Absolut Elyx, coconut milk, pressed lemon, applewood infusion, ginger, aqua faba and one of six custom designs we created for the Launch Party.
The event came with celebrities who wanted to celebrate the Launch, some familiar faces were Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Mia Moretti, Huma Abedin, Stacy Bendet, Margot.
Guests enjoyed music played by The Dolls, unlimited 80’s themed arcade games, art installations, and in the middle of everything was a half pipe and skateboard performances by Skate Kitchen’s Brenn Lorenzo, Jules Lorenzo, and Danielle Melendez.
